Mac or PC?
The university standard for notebook computers on campus is an Intel i5 processor with 8GB of RAM. While Mac and PC are both supported by Colorado State, we recommend that you check with your individual college for notebook recommendations before making a purchase.
Getting Campus WiFi Access
On campus, CSU students use the csu-eid and csu-housing-eid networks for WiFi access around campus. ACNS has a guided process for manually setting up the networks here if necessary.
Microsoft Office 365 is Free of Charge
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Access, etc. are all free of charge thanks to support from The Associated Students of CSU (ASCSU) and The University Technology Fee Advisory Board (UTFAB). You will get five licenses for PC/Mac and another five for tablets and smartphones.
