How do I order from this website?

This website is set up to be more of a catalog that showcases the products that we carry. At the moment, the online purchasing option is unavailable, but this does not mean that you cannot place orders online.

If you would like to purchase an item that we have listed, please fill out a contact form and indicate the products you are hoping to buy as well as your desired payment method. We will be in contact with you shortly to complete the ordering process.

What is "educational pricing"?

Educational pricing refers to the substantial discounts (up to 75% off the retail price!) that many major hardware and software companies offer to university students. All currently enrolled CSU students, faculty, and staff may purchase a wide variety products through the special educational pricing programs at RAMtech.

Is educationally priced software the same as the regularly priced version?

Yes! An educationally priced software package contains the exact same version of the program that is included in its retail priced counterpart. There is no difference between the two other than the price.

Can I get a discount on computers by being a CSU student?

Yes! You can either browse our in-store selection on campus or look through our listed selection on this website. Be sure to start your new computer search at RAMtech, or you might miss out on the academic pricing that you’re entitled to as a student. Some of the popular brands eligible for academic pricing include, but are not limited, to HP, Dell, Apple, Alienware, and MSI.

I am an enrolled student and want to purchase from the RAMtech. What do I need to do?

You are required to show your current CSU ID for all purchases. Your CSU ID allows us to check your current enrollment at CSU.

If an item I'm looking for is not on your price sheet, can I still get it?

We specialize in academic software but can order almost anything. Please note that it can take 7-14 days for special order products to arrive. Call us at 970-491-7625 for a price quote.

Can I charge purchases to my student account?

Yes, as long as the purchase is over five dollars and your student account is registered for classes and free of holds. In-store, we will have you login to RAMweb to confirm this. If you are doing a purchase over email, please provide us with a screenshot of the RAMweb homepage.

Do you sell hardware?

In-store, we carry computers (Apple, HP & Dell), cables, adapters, printer supplies, hard drives, network cards, fans, surge protectors, keyboards, mice, etc. In addition, we supply all kinds of products including USB flash drives, headphones, webcams, and cellphone accessories. If you do not see something listed on our site, please be sure to email us and we’ll check to see if a special order is possible.

Do you repair computers and printers?

Yes! We have a computer repair center located on the first floor of Morgan Library. The repair center can repair most desktop and laptop computer problems. Always check with your computer manufacturer first for all warranty issues. RAMtech has teamed up with Apple, Dell and HP to provide you with authorized warranty repairs here on campus.

I am a distance student taking classes through CSU. Can I still make purchases through RAMtech?

Yes! Distance students are required to provide proof of enrollment at CSU, usually in the form of your CSU Registration Confirmation. In addition, we need to have your CSU ID number to process the purchase. Payment can be made by either calling in with a Visa/MasterCard number, or by charging to your student account. Shipping is by UPS ground and the shipping rate is subject to your location.

I will be a new student at CSU. Should I purchase a desktop or a laptop?

Generally, we suggest purchasing whatever is most convenient for you. Laptops are more portable, more compact, and can be used anywhere. Additionally, all buildings on campus have wireless networking capabilities that laptops with a wireless network card can take advantage of. Desktops are less mobile, but are usually easier to upgrade and are generally less expensive.

I will be living in the residence halls this semester. How can I connect to the internet?

All campus residence halls and apartments have one wired network connection per resident with high-speed Internet access. Service is provided as part of the room & board fee. While wireless access is available throughout the entirety of campus, WiFi networks can get clogged with the amount of students in the dorms. For this reason, we highly recommend purchasing an ethernet cable and adapter (if necessary) in order to use the wired connection whenever possible.

Where are you located?

We are located in the Lory Student Center, Room 244, next to the FNBO Bank and adjacent to the food court.

What is your return policy?

A full refund or exchange will be granted with the following guidelines:

  • All returns/exchanges must take place within 14 days of purchase.
  • Returns must be accompanied by RAMtech original receipt.
  • The product must be in the original package with all enclosed material and must be in resalable condition.
  • Absolutely NO RETURNS on computers or software.
  • Items that have been opened must be in new condition and will be assessed a 20% restocking fee.

I am a student/employee of another University. Can I purchase software from you?

We are sorry, but currently RAMtech can only sell to Colorado State University departments, faculty, staff and students.
